How Adoric Calculates Revenue
In general, Adoric counts revenue only when a purchase is influenced by one of our campaigns.
In some cases, even if Adoric is present on the store, we still do not charge a credit. The rules below explain exactly when we count credits and when we do not.
When We Do NOT Count Revenue (No Credit)
We do not count revenue when:
- A customer buys 1 product normally, and Adoric did not add anything to the order (no additional item, no offer applied).
- The customer buys a product on a page where Adoric is not shown (for example, the widget is not on that product page).
Example (No Credit):
Customer buys 1 item from a page where Adoric is active, but the order is a normal single item purchase with no added value from Adoric.
Result: 0 credits counted.
When We DO Count Revenue (Credit)
We count revenue when Adoric influences the order. Most of the time, that means the customer ends up purchasing more items because of our offer.
Example 1 (Bundle / multi item purchase):
Customer buys 3 items through an Adoric offer.
Then adds 1 extra item that was not part of the Adoric flow.
Result: 3 credits counted (only the items influenced by Adoric).
Example 2 (Upsell accepted):
Customer buys 1 item and accepts an upsell for 1 more item.
Result: 2 credits counted.
Example 3 (Free gift added):
Customer buys 1 item and receives a free gift.
Result: 1 credit counted (we count the purchased item, not the gift).
Quick Rule of Thumb
- We count credits only for items that were added to the order thanks to Adoric.
- Items purchased outside of the Adoric flow are not included.
