You can ask shoppers to agree to your terms before they check out. Go to **Cart** tab > **Footer** > **Buttons** and turn on **Terms & conditions**.

Let's set it up.

## Turn on Terms & conditions

1. In your Shopify admin, open **Adoric Cart**, then click your cart in the **Carts** list.
2. At the top of the left panel, click the **Cart** tab.
3. Under **Footer**, click **Buttons**.
4. Below the checkout button settings, turn on **Terms & conditions**.
## Write the text and add your link

1. In **Terms text**, edit the text. The default is "I agree to the Terms & Conditions."
2. Select the words you want to link, click **Link**, and enter the address of your terms page.
| The default link is example.com. Replace it with your own terms page.

## Set the reminder message

In **Required text**, enter the message shoppers see if they didn't agree. The default is "Please agree to the Terms & Conditions to continue."

## Choose the checkbox look

Use **Checked** and **Unchecked** to set how the checkbox looks in each state.

## Check the result

Look at the live preview on the right of the cart editor.

When you're happy with it, click **Save** in the top bar. To show the cart to shoppers, turn on the **Cart status** switch in the top bar, so the cart shows **Active**.
