# Customize your checkout button

You can change the text and look of your checkout button. Go to Cart tab > Footer > **Buttons**.
The checkout button is the last step before checkout, so make it clear. The default text is "Checkout • {{cart_value}}," which shows as "Checkout • $959.95." Let's set it up.

## Change the button text

1. In your Shopify admin, open **Adoric Cart**, then click your cart in the **Carts** list.
2. At the top of the left panel, click the **Cart** tab.
3. Under **Footer**, click **Buttons**.
4. Enter your button text. Keep {{cart_value}} if you want to show the cart total.
## Change the button style

Choose the button's **Style**, **Background**, **Border**, and **Roundness**. Pick a color that stands out from the rest of the cart.

## Add more options

* **Secondary button**: Turn it on to add a second button, like "Continue shopping." See Add a Continue shopping button.
* **Terms & conditions**: Turn it on to show a terms checkbox. See Ask shoppers to accept your terms.
* **Spacing**: Change the space around the buttons.
## Check the result

Look at the live preview on the right of the cart editor. The button appears at the bottom of the cart.

When you're happy with it, click **Save** in the top bar. To show the cart to shoppers, turn on the **Cart status** switch in the top bar, so the cart shows **Active**.
