# Get your cart live with the setup checklist

The **Get started with Adoric** checklist is on the Adoric Cart home page in your Shopify admin. It has 3 tasks that take your cart from installed to live.

The checklist shows your progress, for example "2 of 3 tasks completed." Let's go through each task.

## Task 1: Enable app embed

Your cart works only after you turn on the Adoric Cart app embed in your theme.

1. In the **Enable app embed** task, click **Enable**.
2. Your Shopify theme editor opens. Turn on **Adoric Cart**.
3. Click **Save** in the theme editor.

When it's done, the home page shows **App embed is active** at the top.

## Task 2: Enable and customize cart

1. In the **Enable and customize cart** task, click **Customize cart**.
2. The cart editor opens. Design your cart, and watch the live preview on the right.
3. Click **Save** in the top bar.
4. Turn on the **Cart status** switch, so the cart shows **Active**.

## Task 3: Cart compatibility check

This task is recommended. Our team checks that your cart and widgets work well with your theme and store. It's free.

1. In the **Cart compatibility check** task, click **Complete check for free**.
2. A chat with our team opens, with a ready message that asks for the check.
3. Send the message. If we're offline, we'll email you back.

## Check the result

When all 3 tasks are done, the checklist shows **All tasks completed**. Open your store, add a product, and your new cart opens.

You can hide the checklist at any time with **Dismiss**.
