# Offer shipping protection

You can offer shoppers an optional shipping protection item in your cart. Go to **Cart** tab > **Footer** > **Shipping protection**, turn on the **Shipping protection** toggle, then choose your options.
Shipping protection gives shoppers peace of mind. For example, the item can say "Protect order against loss or damage." Let's add it.
## Add shipping protection to your cart
1. In your Shopify admin, open **Adoric Cart**, then click your cart in the **Carts** list.
2. At the top of the left panel, click the **Cart** tab.
3. Under **Footer**, turn on the **Shipping protection** toggle, then click **Shipping protection**.
|| Adoric creates the product only and does not provide shipping protection, coverage, or related services.
## Choose the options
In the **Shipping protection** area, select or clear these options:
* **Remove when cart is empty**: Removes shipping protection when the cart has no products.
* **Include shipping protection in the cart item counter**: Counts shipping protection as an item in the cart's item counter.
* **Automatically fulfil shipping protection**: Fulfills the shipping protection item automatically.
Under **Visibility**, choose who sees it in **Who will see this widget**, for example **Everyone**.
## Choose the image and text
1. In the **Image** area, turn on the **Image** toggle.
2. Click one of the ready-made icons, or click **+** to upload your own image.
3. Change the image's **Size** and **Roundness**.
4. In the **Text** area, enter the **Title**, for example "Shipping protection."
5. Enter the **Description**, for example "Protect order against loss or damage."
## Check the result
Look at the live preview on the right of the cart editor. Shipping protection appears in the footer with its price, for example $2.00, and a toggle.
When you're happy with it, click **Save** in the top bar. To show the cart to shoppers, turn on the **Cart status** switch in the top bar, so the cart shows **Active**.
