# Set up an A/B test for your cart

An A/B test shows different versions of your cart to different shoppers, so you can see which one sells more. In the cart editor, click **Create A/B test** in the top bar.

Let's set up your first test.

## Create the test

1. In your Shopify admin, open **Adoric Cart**, then click your cart in the **Carts** list.
2. In the top bar, click **Create A/B test**.
3. You'll see **Variant A** and **Variant B** tabs. To add more, click **Add variant**.
## Edit each variant

1. Click a variant tab, for example **Variant B**.
2. Change the design or content you want to test.
3. Click **Save** in the top bar.
| Change one thing at a time, like the template or a reward. This makes the result easy to understand.

## Choose the traffic split

1. Click **⋯** (**A/B test options**), then click **Settings**.
2. Under **Traffic allocation**, choose:
* **Even**: Traffic is split equally across all variants. This is the default.
* **Custom**: Choose the percentage of traffic for each variant.
3. Click **Save settings**.
## Start and stop the test

There's no start button. The test runs once you save the variants. Make sure the **Cart status** switch is on, so the cart shows **Active**.

To end the test, click **⋯** > **Finish A/B**. To check each variant, click **Preview A** or **Preview B** in the same menu.
