# Show product recommendations beside your cart

You can show recommended products in a panel beside your cart with **Side product upsell**. Go to **Cart** tab > **Body** > **Side product upsell** and turn on the **Side product upsell** toggle. Then choose a template and products.
A side panel shows more products without making the cart longer. Let's set it up.
## Add the side panel
1. In your Shopify admin, open **Adoric Cart**, then click your cart in the **Carts** list.
2. At the top of the left panel, click the **Cart** tab.
3. Under **Body**, turn on the **Side product upsell** toggle, then click **Side product upsell**.
4. In the **Template** area, click **Vertical** or **Horizontal**.
|| On mobile devices, the side product upsell appears inside the cart. You can change its place from the left panel.
## Choose which products to show
In the **Products** area, change these options:
* **AI recommendations** or **Manual selection**: Let AI choose the products, or pick them yourself.
* **Recommendation type**: Choose the kind of products to recommend, for example **Related**.
* **Discount**: Offers a discount on recommended products, for example a **Percentage** discount of 10%.
* **Show products**: Use the **−** and **+** buttons to choose how many products to show.
**AI recommendations** use the products you set in the Shopify Search & Discovery app. At least 1 product is required.
## Change the title and settings
* **Title**: The heading shoppers see, for example "You may also like."
* **Show on devices**: Choose **All devices**, **Desktop**, or **Mobile**.
* **Position**: Choose **Left** or **Right**.
* **Hide upsell for products already in cart**: Products already in the cart won't be recommended.
* **Remove upsells when cart is empty**: Removes the panel when the cart is empty.
* **Sale badge**: Shows the amount saved, for example "Save {{saved_amount}}."
## Check the result
Look at the live preview on the right of the cart editor. The recommended products appear under your title, each with an **Add** button.
When you're happy with it, click **Save** in the top bar. To show the cart to shoppers, turn on the **Cart status** switch in the top bar, so the cart shows **Active**.
