# What each cart metric means

Each number in Adoric Cart analytics tells you one thing about your cart. You find them on the **Analytics** page and in the **Overview** on the home page.

Let's go through them one by one.

## Traffic

* **Visitors**: The number of shoppers who saw your cart.
* **Views**: The number of times your cart was opened.

## Conversions

* **Checkouts initiated**: How many times shoppers went from the cart to checkout.
* **Converted carts**: How many carts became orders.
* **Cart conversion rate**: The share of cart views that became orders. In the **Carts** list, this is the **CR** column.

## Revenue

* **Total revenue**: The revenue from orders that went through your cart.
* **Average order value**: The average amount of each order.
* **Revenue per visitor**: Revenue divided by the number of visitors.
* **Upsell revenue**: The revenue from recommended products.
* **Revenue by widgets**: The revenue from each widget: **Product upsell**, **Side product upsell**, and **Shipping protection**.

## Comparisons and the funnel

* **Previous period**: Shows the change compared with the period before your date range.
* **Cart funnel**: Shows how many shoppers moved from **Views** to **Checkouts initiated** to **Converted carts**, as a number and a percentage.
