When a customer interacts with a one-click upsell offer created through the Adoric Post Purchase app, the original order is modified instead of generating a separate order. This helps streamline the checkout process for both the merchant and the customer.
Once the customer is presented with a post-purchase upsell offer, the order is placed on a fulfillment hold for up to 60 minutes. This hold allows the customer to decide whether to accept or decline the upsell, ensuring that any additional items can be added to the original order. The hold will be released in one of the following scenarios:
The customer accepts or declines the upsell offer.
The customer closes the browser tab without interacting with the offer.
60 minutes pass since the order was created.
After the fulfillment hold is released, the order status will return to Unfulfilled and is ready for processing.
