How Does Adoric Post Purchase Upsell Affect My Fulfillment?

When a customer completes payment during checkout, Shopify generates the order. If the customer is presented with a post-purchase upsell through the Adoric Post Purchase app, the order is assigned a fulfillment status of** On Hold.**

This On Hold status indicates that the order should not be fulfilled immediately, as the customer may add additional items by accepting the post-purchase upsell offer. Once the post-purchase process is completed, the order will be updated and the hold will be lifted.

Releasing Post-Purchase Fulfillment Holds

The fulfillment hold is automatically released under the following conditions:

The customer accepts or declines all post-purchase upsell offers.
60 minutes have passed since the order's creation, regardless of the customer’s interaction with the offers.

After the hold is released, the fulfillment status changes to Unfulfilled, indicating that the order is ready for processing.

Post-Purchase Fulfillment Scenarios

The table below outlines various customer scenarios and how they affect order fulfillment status and the release of post-purchase holds.
