PayPal Automatic Payments for Adoric Post Purchase Offers

If you are using** PayPal Express** in your Shopify store, Shopify automatically requests approval for Reference Transactions from PayPal on your behalf. This approval is necessary when you're using an app like Adoric Post Purchase, which automatically charges customers after their initial purchase.
Without approval for Reference Transactions from PayPal, post-purchase offers will not be shown to your customers.

How to Activate Automatic Payments for PayPal

Follow these steps to check and activate automatic payments for PayPal in your Shopify store:

Go to your Shopify Admin.
Click on Settings at the bottom left of the Admin dashboard.
Select Payments from the left-side menu.
Click on Manage in the top right corner of your PayPal payment method.
Check the Automatic Payments section to see if your account is marked as Approved, Pending, or Declined.

Understanding Your PayPal Status

Approved:
Congratulations! Your PayPal account is set up for Reference Transactions, meaning that post-purchase offers will be visible to your customers.
Pending:
PayPal is still reviewing your request for Reference Transactions approval. We recommend checking back daily until your status is updated.
Declined/Denied:
If your request for Reference Transactions has been denied, we suggest reaching out to PayPal support. You can ask them:
"Why has my request for Reference Transactions been denied?"
Follow the guidance provided by PayPal’s support team to resolve the issue.
