Post Purchase Upsell Guide
Adoric Upsell allows you to create post-purchase and thank-you page upsell offers that help increase your store’s average order value. You can choose when the upsell appears, which products trigger it, what offer customers see, and how the offer looks.
Upsell Campaign Types
When creating an upsell campaign, you can choose where the upsell offer will appear.
Post-Purchase Upsell
A post-purchase upsell appears after the customer completes their order, before they reach the thank-you page.
This is a great option for offering an additional product after checkout without interrupting the customer’s original purchase flow.
Thank You Page Upsell
A thank-you page upsell appears on the order confirmation page after the purchase is completed.
This is useful for showing customers another relevant offer immediately after they finish buying.
Upsell Trigger
The upsell trigger controls when the upsell campaign will appear and which customer orders should activate it.
Adoric Upsell supports two trigger types:
- Manual trigger
- Advanced trigger
Manual Trigger
The manual trigger lets you choose which products or product groups should activate the upsell.
You can trigger the upsell based on:
All Products
The upsell will appear for any order that includes any product from your store.
Specific Products
The upsell will appear only when the customer purchases one or more selected products.
Products from Collection
The upsell will appear when the customer purchases a product from a selected collection.
Products from Tags
The upsell will appear when the customer purchases a product with a selected product tag.
Exclude Products
You can exclude specific products from triggering the upsell.
For example, if you want the campaign to trigger for most products but not for certain items, you can add those products to the exclude list.

Advanced Trigger
The advanced trigger allows you to create more specific conditions for when the upsell should appear.
You can use one condition or combine multiple conditions in the same campaign.
Advanced triggers are useful when you want to show an upsell only for certain order values, product quantities, countries, product types, or other specific purchase conditions.

1. Product-Based Conditions
You can trigger the upsell based on product-related conditions, including:
Specific Products
Show the upsell when the order includes selected products.
Products from Collection
Show the upsell when the order includes products from selected collections.
Product Tag
Show the upsell when the order includes products with specific tags.
Product Title
Show the upsell based on the product title.
This can be useful if you want to target products that include certain words in their name.
Product Price
Show the upsell based on the price of products in the order.
Product Quantity
Show the upsell based on the quantity of products purchased.
2. Selling Type
Show the upsell based on the product selling type.
Order-Based Conditions
You can also trigger the upsell based on order details.
Available order-based conditions include:
Subtotal
Show the upsell based on the order subtotal.
Total
Show the upsell based on the total order value.
Quantity
Show the upsell based on the total quantity of products in the order.
Number of Line Items
Show the upsell based on the number of different line items in the order.
For example, you can show an upsell only when the order contains more than one product line.
Shipping-Based Conditions
You can trigger the upsell based on the customer’s shipping details.
Show the upsell only for customers shipping to selected countries.
This is useful if your upsell product is only available in certain regions or if shipping costs vary by country.
Offer Settings
The offer section controls which products will be shown in the upsell and what discount the customer will receive.
You can apply the same discount to all products in the upsell or set a specific discount for each product.
Available discount options include:

Percentage Discount
Offer a percentage discount, such as 10% off or 20% off.
Fixed Value Discount
Offer a fixed discount amount, such as $5 off or $10 off.
Set Price Discount
Set a specific final price for the upsell product.
No Discount
Show the upsell product without applying a discount.
Additional Upsell and Downsell Options
Adoric Upsell also allows you to create additional offers based on the customer’s decision.

Upsell 2
"Upsell 2" allows you to show another upsell offer if the customer accepts the first offer.
For example, if the customer accepts the first upsell, you can offer them another related product as a second upsell.
Downsell
A downsell allows you to show another offer if the customer does not accept the original upsell.
For example, if the customer rejects the first offer, you can show a lower-priced product or a better discount as an alternative.
Additional Offer Settings
You can also configure extra offer settings to control how the upsell behaves.

Show Products from Order
This option allows you to exclude products that are already part of the customer’s order.
This helps prevent customers from seeing an upsell for a product they already purchased.
Custom Discount Title
You can add a custom discount title for the upsell discount.
This title may appear in the order or discount details, depending on the campaign setup and Shopify behavior.
Design Settings
The design section allows you to customize how your upsell offer looks.
Adoric Upsell provides a selection of ready-made design templates. After choosing a design, you can customize different parts of the offer to match your store’s branding.
You can customize:

Quantity Breaks Bar
The quantity breaks bar is optional.
You can enable it if you want to allow customers to buy more than one unit of the upsell product.
Product Description
Customize the product description shown in the upsell offer.
Use this section to explain the value of the product and why the customer should add it to their order.

This can help highlight the discount or make the offer feel more attractive.
Price Breakdown Section
Customize the price breakdown section to show customers the original price, discount, and final price clearly.
Button

For example, you can use text such as:
- Add to my order

- Yes, I want this deal
Additional Design Sections (For Upsell, Upsell 2 and Downsell section)
You can also add and customize extra sections inside the upsell design.

Message and Timer
Add a message and countdown timer to create urgency.
For example, you can let customers know the offer is available for a limited time.
Products
The products section displays the upsell product or products.
This section cannot be removed.
Text Section
You can add extra text sections to explain the offer, highlight benefits, or provide more details.
Image with Text Section
You can add an image with text section to make the upsell more visual.
This is useful for showing lifestyle images, product benefits, or short promotional content.
FAQ Section
You can add an FAQ section to answer common customer questions directly inside the upsell offer.
For example, you can answer questions about shipping, product usage, returns, or compatibility.
Rearranging Design Sections
You can rearrange the order of the design sections by dragging and dropping them.
This allows you to control the layout of the upsell page and decide which sections appear first.
For example, you may choose to show the product section first, followed by the message and timer, then the FAQ section.=
