Choose AI recommendations or pick products yourself

Recommended products can be chosen for you or by you. In Product upsell or Side product upsell, go to the Products area and choose AI recommendations or Manual selection.


Let's choose the option that fits your store.


Choose how products are picked


  1. In your Shopify admin, open Adoric Cart, then click your cart in the Carts list.
  2. At the top of the left panel, click the Cart tab.
  3. Under Body, click Product upsell or Side product upsell.
  4. In the Products area, choose one option:
  • AI recommendations: Adoric Cart picks the products for you.
  • Manual selection: You choose the products to recommend.

Set up AI recommendations


  1. Under Recommendation type, choose the type, for example Related.
  2. Click Open Search & Discovery.
  3. In the Shopify Search & Discovery app, set at least 1 product.

AI recommendations need at least 1 product set in the Shopify Search & Discovery app. Without it, no products appear.



  1. In the Products area, find Discount.
  2. Choose Percentage and enter the amount, for example 10%.
  3. Optional: In the Settings area, select Sale badge to show "Save {{saved_amount}}."

Choose how many products to show


Under Show products, set how many recommended products shoppers see.


Check the result


Look at the live preview on the right of the cart editor. It shows your recommended products.


When you're happy with it, click Save in the top bar. To show the cart to shoppers, turn on the Cart status switch in the top bar, so the cart shows Active.



  • Recommend products in your cart
  • Show product recommendations beside your cart
  • Product recommendations are not showing
