Create, save, and activate your cart

You build each cart in the cart editor, save it with Save, and make it live with the Cart status switch. A cart is live for shoppers when it shows Active.


Let's create a cart, save it, and turn it on.


Open the cart editor


You can open the cart editor in 3 ways from the Adoric Cart home page:


  • Click a cart in the Carts list.
  • Click ⋯ next to a cart, then click Edit.
  • Click Create cart to start a new cart.


A new cart starts with the name "Cart name" and the status Inactive.


Name your cart


  1. In the top bar, click the cart name.
  2. Enter a new name, for example "Summer sale cart."


The name helps you find the cart. Shoppers don't see it.


Save or discard your changes


When you change something, Discard and Save appear in the top bar.


  • Save: Keeps your changes.
  • Discard: Removes every change since you last saved.


If you close the cart editor without saving, your changes are lost.


Turn your cart on or off


  1. In the top bar, turn on the Cart status switch. The cart shows Active.
  2. To hide the cart from shoppers, turn the switch off. The cart shows Inactive.


You can also turn a cart on or off with the switch next to it in the Carts list on the home page.


Check the result


On the home page, your cart shows Active in the Carts list. Open your store, add a product, and check that your cart opens.


Your cart also needs the Adoric Cart app embed turned on in your theme.
